Things are going relatively well. I’m dying to find out whether or not I’m approved for school funding, but I know that I won’t hear until the middle of next month at the earliest, so there’s nothing I can do about that. I’m settling in to the new job relatively well. I quite like the work, and the people I work with are nice. Plus I have this aunt (not Jane) who I’ve just realized I work practically next door to. I only see Carole once every couple of years or so and I really like her, so we’re having lunch tomorrow, which will be nice.
I’ve also had a total brainwave. Part of my schooling consists of an 8 – 10 week internship. Most of these are paid. I asked the program co-ordinator, and if I can afford it, I can do my internship anywhere I want to. That means any country I’d like, as long as I can find a suitable placement. Now I’m thinking that since I would like to move to Europe and work there as soon as it’s financially viable, that if I can afford it, perhaps I will go and do my internship in England or Ireland. It would teach me what the job market over there was like previous to going and also be like a trial run for the move. Not sure how I’d afford to stay over there for two months yet unless I stayed with family, and not surewhat I’d do with the dog, but it’s just an idea. It’s very far away and I really don’t need to think about it yet, but I thought it was an interesting idea.
